Spring has sprung and frats have started spilling out of their dingy houses and onto their “fratios". Frat boys and Srat girls have started folding up those jeans and leggings in hopes of shorts weather on its way. When it comes to college, fashion tends to be in a completely different hemisphere than the regular world. I say this because not only are we broke college kids, but the laziness is at the top of its game around campus. Here 10 fashion trends that you can add to your spring college closet and not break the bank. In between winter and summer, it's hard to find just the right outfits to fit even the laziest of Mondays and the craziest of Fridays.

  • Ankle Strap Heels – Every girl needs to own these. They dress up the regular, old flat and make it fancy for every occasion. You can pair with a formal dress or even with some cuffed jeans to run to class in. They make flats more fun; and as a tall girl, I am extremely excited about this new spring trend.

  • Rolled Up Boyfriend Jeans – Now more popular than ever. They are not only extremely comfy, but look like you barely worked on your classic look. You look carefree and relaxed in these jeans, which pair nicely with a relaxed, fitted at the arms, neutral colored shirt. Also looks great with crop tops and basically anything else in your closet. Distressed is even better and rolled at the ends to finish the look off. I've seen these around campus a lot more this spring.

  • Bright Lace Up Shoes – Patterns, patterns, patterns. Shoes that make a statement are what you should be looking for. They add personality and make a classic, basic outfit into something youthful and cute. My favorite site I've been addicted to recently is Bucket Feet.

  • Boho Shift Dress – Forever 21 brought in an entire collection of these for this spring. Boho has never been so popular and everyone is embracing it fully. I love boho shift dresses because you can throw a jean jacket over it to make it more casual or pair it with a solid colored clutch and go out to the bars.

  • Fresh Florals – Of course spring brings in more florals than ever. Try pairing neutral floraled shoes and purse with a basic outfit or cute floral lace shorts with a slouchy shirt. You can play around with this trend and use it every year.
  • Gingham Shorts and Skirts – I was extremely surprised to see this become a spring trend. Gingham dresses, scarves, and skirts are a popular 2015 spring trend this year. Any gingham patterns that are light and pastel are game.
  • 90s Flats – Let's bring back some 90s trends. Chunky, strappy, flats are seen all over the fashion magazines for this spring. The chunkier the better. They also look really great with boyfriend jeans.

  • Midi skirt and crop top combo – Need a dress for formal? Go no further and pair a cute strappy crop top with a bold midi skirt to make the perfect, mature outfit. There are so many ways to pair these two great pieces to make one, go-to look. Wearing this to formal makes you look sophisticated and shows that you can put one hell-of-an outfit together.
  • Bright Handbags with Basic Colors – Bright shoes and handbags that clash somehow look so great together. It's that pop of color that everyone in the fashion world is looking to achieve. If it's not handbags or shoes, it's a bland looking outfit with fiercely colored nails or eye shadow.
  • Deep V Summer Dresses – I love the deep v. Showing off some cleavage has never looked sexier. Either for formal or just around town, deep v dresses and rompers look great. Amazon sells great bras that work like wonder with deep v dresses so you don't ever have to stress.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
