69 Thoughts I Had During Course Registration
A&M Flims

1. Alright. I'm ready for this.

2. What could possibly go wrong?

3. I've got my first choices, my back-ups, my back-up back-ups.

4. And I've got several semesters worth of registration experience under my belt.

5. I have all of my course registration numbers nicely formatted in a spreadsheet.

6. I'll be done registering in two seconds flat!

7. This will be the easiest semester of registration yet!

8. If all goes according to plan, I'll have no Friday classes! How baller is that?

9. And I'm never taking an 8:30 a.m. class again. I learned that lesson the hard way.

10. I mean, I'm at least definitely going to graduate.

11. Like, I'm definitely going to get the classes I need.

12. I think.

13. Oh dear lord, please let me graduate!

14. Alright, my slot is up next.

15. I should check if any of the classes I want are full yet.

16. They can't all be full...right?

17. Okay, maybe some of them.

18. Oh...all of them...okay...

19. Well, my back-ups will be fine.

20. Ooooor not.

21. I DID NOT PLAN FOR THIS.

22. *SHAKES FIST AT SKY*

23. *CURSES EXCESSIVELY*

24. I'M NOT GOING TO GRADUATE.

25. WHY YOU GOTTA DO ME LIKE THIS REGISTRAR?!

26. I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!

27. This is the end.

28. I have to drop out.

29. I should call my mom.

30. Relax. Just ride this out. You have to get into something.

31. Alright, my slot is in one minute.

32. Take no prisoners.

33. *furiously copy-pastes CRNs*

34. *puts self on 16 waitlists*

35. Let's assess the damage.

36. I'm only registered for three classes atm.

37. Two of them count for my major so we can check that off in the W column.

38. And the third one is an 8:30 a.m. that doesn't count for my major or a distribution requirement.

39. Finna drop that like it's hot.

40. Mmmmmkay so what do I do now?

41. Search for new classes I guess?

42. ALL OF MY EFFORTS OF PREPARATION WERE FUTILE.

43. Just remember, you're all about that liberal arts life. Just find some cool #SoColgate classes.

44. Oh, this one looks interesting!

45. *23 people on the waitlist*

46. This one could be cool!

47. *conflicts with other classes*

48. This doesn't look uninteresting...

49. *no 2016 or 2017 admitted*

50. This one would be perfect!

51. *hasn't fulfilled the prereqs*

52. Okay, so that leaves us with...

53. Every intro level science class.

54. Yeah, I think I'll just keep the 8:30 a.m. one.

55. Do you think they'd let me retake Calculus?

56. Man, I wish the filtering functionality on the course offerings page was more helpful.

57. Like, "Show all classes with available seats and that are not Intro Brain and Behavior."

58. I JUST WANT AN OPEN CLASS I DON'T WANT TO BE A SUPER SENIOR SOS.

59. Oh, I haven't seen this one yet...

60. Looks interesting...

61. No prereqs...

62. Accepts juniors...

63. OPEN SEATS?!

64. Boom.

65. Done.

66. Nailed it.

67. Kind of.

68. Ugh, I still have that 8:30 a.m. to deal with.

69. Well, there's always Drop/Add.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

From sea to shining sea, the United States was uniquely positioned for an incredible Aurora Borealis display on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, going into Friday, Oct. 11.

It was the second time this year after an historic geomagnetic storm in May 2024. Those Northern Lights were visible in Europe and North America, just like this latest rendition.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Because no one ever really leaves.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
