During the winter season the cold weather can leave you flakey and dry. With the cold weather drying your skin by the minute, it's necessary for you to take action into hydrating your skin. Hydrating your skin may be something you've never had to do before, so it's possible that you may not know how to rejuvenate your skin and make it as beautiful and healthy as it was before. Well your worries can now come to an end. Here are 5 different tips that will help you keep your skin looking better than ever, especially during this very cold season.

1. Exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate

Exfoliating is a big part of staying hydrated and healthy, especially while it's cold. I don't mean just scrub harder with a loofa, while that is still important there are other ways for you to exfoliate your whole body and different at home remedies that can help as well. Many people aren't aware, but you are actually supposed to exfoliate your lips, scalp, eyebrows, legs, and hands on top of the rest of your body like your feet, arms, face, etc.

2. Cleanse your body

A great way to cleanse your body to stay hydrated is by drinking lots and lots of water each day. Water is so important for your skin. The more water you take in the more hydrated your body and skin will be.

3. At home remedies

At home remedies are the perfect way to save money while still getting the job done. There are so many different at home remedies that can help keep your skin hydrated and healthy. There are thousands of at home remedies on Pinterest that will work wonders for your skin, I however prefer to use olive oil, lemon juice, natural oils, or witch hazel. Other great ingredients for at home remedies include coconut oil, honey, avocado, yogurt, bananas, aloe vera, and more.

4. Moisturize

Applying lotion twice a day will help keep your skin moisturized, however if your skin is still dry or you have eczema try applying olive oil to your skin. Olive oil helps moisturize and rejuvenate your skin quicker than lotion. It also helps cure eczema in a natural way rather than uses different products and medicines.

5. Protect your body

When going out in the cold make sure to use proper protection including layers, gloves, hats, scarves, etc. Doing this will help keep your skin from drying out quicker from direct contact with the cold. I know it is very hard to cover your entire body when going out in the cold, specifically your face. I have found a product that works great. It is a vitamin e stick that you apply wherever you're face is dry and can't get enough moisture.
