Get Yourself A Coconut Black Tie At Peet's Coffee

For the past year, I have harbored an unexplainable obsession with coconut. If something smells or tastes like coconut, I need to have it. So when I walked into Peet’s Coffee last week and saw a large poster advertising a new drink that contained coconut in the title, I ordered it without hesitation.

This new drink is called the “Coconut Black Tie” which is one of four new coconut flavored drinks that Peet’s unveiled this month. The Coconut Black Tie is a twist on their original Black Tie beverage which consists of a cold brew iced coffee, sweetened condensed milk, chicory simple syrup, and half and half.

The Coconut Black Tie delivers the deep, smooth flavor of the original but with the lightly sweetened element of coconut flavor. Normally, I’m not a huge fan of cold brew coffee but I really enjoyed the sweetness of the added coconut and condensed milk. It was a perfect combination of bold coffee flavor and sweet coconut.

When I discovered that this was simply one of multiple coconut drinks being offered at Peet’s I felt like the coffee gods had answered all of my prayers. The three other drinks sent from above include Coconut Solstice Iced Tea, Coconut Crème Javiva, and the Coconut Crème Latte. This is when I realized Peet’s Coffee gets me.

If coconut isn’t your thing I encourage you to visit Peet’s Coffee anyways. The customer service alone has me coming back for cup after cup of deliciously brewed coffee. The people at my local Peet’s are personable, patient and are customer service gurus. If you are tired of hipster shops that sell you an overpriced cup of joe but don’t want to succumb to Starbucks level coffee, then I highly recommend Peet’s as your affordable, delicious and friendly middle ground.

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
