And Why They're Annoying

If you live in any major metropolitan area, you've probably heard about clown sightings. These little terrorists are not just funny and annoying but also pose as a dangerous threat. They assault strangers and even carry knives and other assorted weapons to perform their ultimate purpose: fucking around. Who even dresses up as a clown? Do these guys (gals?) think they're not scary enough that they have to dress up as clowns and terrorize everyone?

What makes me so angry about these clowns is the fact that they probably don't have jobs and yet STILL bought a clown costume just to mug people on the street and assault children and instill fear into the general populace. Every major city has at least one clown, but they've shown up in smaller cities too. It's almost like they organize themselves to spread fear to a large number of people.

A concerning fact that makes me the most angry is that these criminals who are armed with knives still managed to get themselves arrested. That sounds like a good thing-and it is- but the fact that police can arrest ARMED clowns but shoot unarmed blacks and others for small breaches of law like speeding is simply unacceptable. I mean sure, I'm biased because I hate clowns, but I think there's definitely a big problem in our society today. I would honestly feel so much more in danger in the presence of an armed clown than in the presence of an unarmed black man with his hands up on the side of a car but I mean that's just me.

These clowns are getting a pass from everyone just because they're dressed as clowns. What I hate about clowns is everything about their existence. There was a clown sighting on campus, and honestly I don't have time for a threat to my health when I already have midterms trying to do that exact same thing.

Honestly, I'll just be content if these clowns are just gone.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
