Clothing pieces that won't bust your buttons

Thanksgiving is the holiday known solely for busting buttons. Not to say we aren’t thankful for one another, but food definitely takes center stage. Turkey, potatoes, and pie (oh my), satisfy every corner of our taste palette. However, these wonderful delicacies come at a cost. There’s usually at least a 5- to 10-pound weight gain after the holiday season. Buttons and zippers aren’t very forgiving so for a bit your clothes might not feel as comfy as they always did. This doesn’t mean you have to stick to sweatpants until you return to your normal size (unless you want to- then more power to you). There are plenty of clothing pieces that are dressy and more than forgiving, no matter how many times you went back for seconds.

Sweater Dress:

Major shout out to sweater dresses for, IMO, being the perfect clothing item to hit the market. For one, who doesn’t love sweaters? They’re like a big soft blanket that you can wear in public. Plus- it's a sweater in dress form, so you don’t have to wear pants?!? All these traits and it still looks like you took your time to get all gussied up. Pair it with knee high boots for the perfect party outfit.

Suede Joggers:

Pants can be pretty stubborn. Those pants that were perfectly buttoned when you get to grandma’s will probably refuse to budge after dinner, if you’re lucky, you’ll get maybe one closed. With joggers, no buttons=no problem. Normally joggers have a more athletic feel, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have dressier options. Suede joggers are a perfect thanksgiving fabric and can look classy as ever paired with a nice heel and blazer.

Bell Sleeve:

Light and flowy, need I say more? Bell sleeve blouses give you the perfect amount of movement while still giving you the structure of blouse. Style it with a simple pair of pants and heels, or even wear it with a skirt for a dressier look.

Don’t let your buttons and zippers keep you from having a stylish thanksgiving!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
