"Hey, I was doing just fine before I met you."

Wow, so I'm obsessed with just the first line of this banger.

"I drink too much and that's an issue, but I'm okay."

But I think I'm more obsessed with the second line.

"Tell your friends it was nice to meet them, but I hope I never see them again."

Actually the third line.

As you can see, every verse keeps getting better and better. Each sparks another thrill of excitement in my soul and I can't help but listen to this song on repeat. Life doesn't get much better.

If you don't already know what song I'm talking about then please pause for a minute and go look it up immediately because it will without a doubt change your life: "Closer" by the Chainsmokers.

Here, I'll even make it easy for you.

Did you watch it? Are you done? Was it amazing? That was a rhetorical question because we all already know the answer. It's incredible.

Hang on I need to watch it again.

It's safe to say that this is my favorite song that has been released in a while and I'm pretty picky. To put it in perspective, this song came out on July 29 and I knew all the lyrics by July 29. If that's not dedication to this song then I don't know what is.

So, why is this the best song to hit the top charts in years?

Besides that fact that it is beyond catchy and gets anyone with bones moving out of their chair, it offers a lot more.

This song is based off of a relationship that was rekindled after four years of no communication. The Chainsmokers say, "It's about f-king your ex-girlfriend and then after remembering all of the reasons why you hate that person."

Relatable already? I think yes.

This particular song isn't the style that The Chainsmokers have chose in the past and according to them, that's why they think it has hit the charts so well, so soon. It's not what you expect from them which makes it that much more desirable. Unlike their other songs, "Closer" is mostly vocals, and it is their vocals. Although they have Halsey as a singer in the song, the majority of the lyrics are from the Dj-duo Andrew and Alex. Who are also lyrical geniuses and hotter than hell which helps with the popularity of this song.

Besides the fact that the ending of their music video is complete fire, "Closer" has already hit number one in just two days. It relates to a wide audience of people especially college millennials. Paring up with Halsey was one of the best decisions in creating this song. This allows the listeners to see both sides of the relationship, understanding the back story of why it fell apart in the first place. You become attached the the singers that you've never met before. You are able to do this because you can either relate or imagine how a falling apart relationship would be rekindled. "Closer" nails it.

The lyrics in "Closer" speak volumes compared to their first popular song #SELFIE which although was catchy, was not a song that was widely enjoyed. Unlike #SELFIE, "Closer" can be played on repeat and getting tired of it is clearly not an option at this point. I'm going on day six of constant replay.

This song will without a doubt be a classic. It will be the song you remember as the "song of the summer" and can visualize where you were when you first heard it. It's just that good.

It's the song you'll be listening to years from now, showing your future children. Because after all, we ain't ever getting older.

Now, lets get "Closer."

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
