went the clock.

Slower and slower

we tried to be bolder.

We thought

if we could stop

Time

and ourselves

for just a moment

we could pick up the pieces

of our shattered lives

and start again.

But life is funny.

that you thought you wanted

until you came to a crossroad

that life has hidden from your view

so now you must choose.

that you left

on the ground

when you crashed

at the fork in the road

will not find the right hands

to put them back together.
