One ongoing issue that is still happening in today's world is climate change and how it has been affecting people's lives. You may hear natural disaster storms on the news or what may be happening in the atmosphere, but it is more important for the United States to take action and to protect our environment. The impacts that are happening to human health are air pollution, asthma, allergies, flooding, wildfires, increased temperatures that may affect a person's mental health, and certain diseases that are caused by new species arising and also the reaction of our bodies to abrupt weather changes.

According to the National Climate Association, they discuss the dangerous effects that air pollution holds in the air and that more people are being affected by unsafe gases being exposed in the air. Global temperatures in air pollution could increase the rate of premature deaths because it can worsen the ozone and particles of the air. One way air pollution functions is, "Ground-level ozone (a key component of smog) is associated with many health problems, such as diminished lung function, increased hospital admissions, and emergency room visits for asthma, and increases in premature deaths" (NCA).

National Climate Association is writing these facts for a reason. They are writing these facts to aware people and to let people know that air pollution is serious because doctors are now having to take care of patients in the hospital that have asthma and people that have a very hard time breathing from air pollution. "Air pollution kills an estimated 7 million people worldwide every year" (World Health Organization. It is devastating to hear and look what climate change has been doing to our environment. In this world, we need to find solutions on how to help this problem and to save people's lives. Climate change is an impact on why people get or have asthma.

Across the world, cities and urban areas are experiencing toxic pollutants in the air that is getting spread around which is increasing premature deaths. There is evidence that air pollution could increase premature deaths. "Air pollution is the second leading cause of noncommunicable diseases, such as stroke, cancer, and heart diseases, which are on the rise worldwide" (World Health Organization). If we could find solutions to reduce air pollution, it would lead to a better economy, environment, and health because climate change is going to affect all of us in the future.

The U.S government needs to take action that we will be all affected in the future from climate change in order to make us safe because once it happens, we will not be in a good place. I think it is important to take this issue seriously because so many lives are being affected. It may not be you being affected by air pollution or any impact on climate change but I believe you and everyone can make a difference if they put their mind to it. There may be controversies on climate change but there is no reason for us not to help the environment and save peoples lives.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
