The beginning of November means the end of the baseball season. Sadly, it is the beginning of November. The World Series has come to an end. The Cleveland Indians lost to the Chicago Cubs. Both teams were immaculate this year. Both looking to improve next year.
The Cleveland Indians went into the series hoping to win the first World Series for Cleveland since 1948. The Chicago Cubs went in hoping to bring home a Championship as well. The Cubs have not won since 1908.
The Indians started off strong with a 3-1 lead in the Championship Series. Sadly, the Cubs overpowered our strong team and came back to defeat the Indians 4-3 in the series.
But Cleveland remains hopeful. This World Series caliber team will only gain strength before the next season returns.
With our top pitchers recovering and training for the new season, our pitching can only become even better. It is not unlike Cleveland to be rebuilt. That is our story.
Cleveland is a thriving city with many places to invest your time and money in. Now, Cleveland is rebuilding and becoming stronger than ever. The Republican National Convention was held in Cleveland in Summer 2016 which created a surge of Cleveland-pride and a boost in the Ohio economy.
The Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Championship in June which sent a spark of joy through Ohio's veins. The curse had ended. The Tribe was winning. Cleveland was at peace with the world.
As the Tribe lost, we did not become discouraged like many thought we would. No, we became stronger together. We became united on the front that we are against the World in our endeavors, both in regards to sports and other life events. Cleveland Against The World. This campaign sparker our hometown pride that made us strong.
Now that the baseball season is over, the basketball and football seasons have started. The Cavaliers already have a 5-0 winning streak, hoping to go on to another Championship one game at a time.
The Cleveland Browns are 0-8 and yet we are still cheering them on. We stick by our teams no matter what trials and tribulations they are put through. We still love them and respect them for what they do for our city, for our home, and for our pride.
Cleveland is not just a city to the people that live in and around it. It is home. It is where we go to enjoy ourselves and to be with friends and family. to be with each other in times of struggle. And to celebrate with each other when we do amazing things.
Cleveland is becoming stronger and stronger.
The people are becoming closer and closer.
Cleveland Against The World.
