Classic Christmas Movies You Might Have Forgotten About

It's that time of year again! As Thanksgiving has finally passed, for most people it's officially time to celebrate Christmas. Though some people (myself included) enjoy celebrating Christmas at the beginning of November, while others celebrate all year round, no one can justify putting off the celebration any longer. That being said, how do we celebrate? There are many ways, but my favorite way is by watching classic Christmas movies and there are many that you might've forgotten about. In no particular order this is a list of forgotten classics:

1. White Christmas

2. Christmas in Connecticut

3. Miracle on 34th Street

4. It’s a Wonderful Life

5. The Muppet Christmas Carol

6. The Year Without a Santa Claus

7. Home Alone

8. Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas

9. A Charlie Brown Christmas

Each of these movies is the perfect way to celebrate Christmas. Grab your mug of hot chocolate, start a movie on this list, put up your feet, and enjoy Christmas time!

11. Dance to Christmas music in the kitchen.

12. Participate in a Secret Santa gift exchange.

13. Build a gingerbread house.

14. Drive and look at Christmas lights.

15. Visit Santa at the mall.

16. Watch a classic holiday movie like "How the Grinch Stole Christmas or "The Polar Express".

17. Put up Christmas lights to get in the holiday spirit.

18. Spend a snow day cuddled up under the blankets

19. Drink all the eggnog you can.

20. Go to a Christmas concert.

21. Throw a present wrapping party.

22. Treat yourself to your favorite holiday drink.

23. Go skiing or snowboarding.

24. Create a DIY Christmas gift.

25. Enjoy the company of your loved ones.

I've realized that being nice to myself is actually really important.

1. Learn to say no, and actually mean it

2. Realize that doing your best does not mean sacrificing your health

3. Enjoy your own company

4. Realize that not everyone deserves a front-row seat to your life (and you don't need a front-row seat to theirs)

5. Give yourself grace
