Classic Christmas Movies You Can't Miss

There are so many great Christmas movies: new ones and remakes of old ones. There is a movie to fit everyone's taste. However there are a select few classic Christmas movies that you can't forget to watch this holiday season.

1. Home Alone

Home Alone, filmed in 1990, is a classic family movie that can't be missed. Hilarious and perfect for the whole family. Good news is if you like the first one, there are 4 more similar to it that you can watch after that!

2. The Nightmare Before Christmas

This movie will never get old. Filmed in 1993, it is still one of my personal favorites. Much different than any other Christmas movie you will see it, it's Halloween meets Christmas.

3. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

If you haven't seen this light-hearted film, you must. This truly is a classic, great for all ages and it never seems to get old watching it around the holiday season. Guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit!

4. The Polar Express

This one will always be in my top three favorite Christmas movies. You just can't go wrong with this film. At the end, I almost find myself wanting to believe in Santa again!

5. The Grinch

This film is by far my favorite Christmas movie of all time. The new version with Jim Carrey as the Grinch is great, but you can't go wrong with the cartoon version. If you want to get in the Christmas spirit, this is the movie for you.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
