You have that big test coming up later in the week, but let's be honest with ourselves you aren't really looking to study until the last minute. At the same time you want to pretend to feel accomplished before the test so that you can brag to your friends that you have been studying for days. Here are ten ways on how to pretend to study so that when people come by or ask what you have been doing, you can say you were prepping for the big test.

1. You need to get the room set up like you're studying

Most great movies have great props, and pretending to study is the same way in which props can make it look so much better and more accurate. I recommend 1 or 2 open books, computer, headphones, maybe a cup of coffee, and a crushed up Redbull or Monster can to be the icing on the cake.

2. Look like you are reading something important online

We both know you are thinking about what to eat for that late night snack and not about Economics.

3. The more you highlight, the higher your grade will be

Lets face it, you instantly look more prepared if you have stuff highlighted. I recommend using at least 2 colors for an even better affect but start off slow.

4. Continually scroll through music to find that one song to listen to.

I have personally been able to pretend to study by going on Spotify and discovering new bands. It real helps out in those real word situations when someone suggestions for new bands to listen to on Facebook.

5. Constantly check social media

Becky might have just put up pictures of her new dog or John might have some very important political idea that just has to be read.

6. Casually pretend to read in front others

Public Appearances matter when it comes to pretending to study. You need as many people on your team defending you when you don't get the grade you want.

7. Take study breaks at least every 30 minutes

Your brain can only handle so much at a time, and pretending to study can be very grueling and tiresome. Taking these breaks helps ensure that you can be more focused on not studying.

8. Learn a new hobby

Trust me when I say you can learn some great and almost useful skills when you pretend to study. No lie I learned how to do card tricks for about a month when I pretended to study.

9. Think of ways to explain to your parents why the class was useless anyway.

Tell them how you have no idea how Physics 201 is going to help you out as a business major. Or maybe you can tell them that you weren't meant to be an engineer and deciding to change your major to management.

10. Promise yourself it is only 15 percent of your grade and you'll study better next time.

You can always tell yourself that you can recover your grade and next time study hard to get that A but be happy with a C+.

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
