It's officially the holiday season and if you're like me, you LOVE listening to music. Here're some of my favorite Christmas songs both classic and newer.
“Last Christmas” - WHAM! / Cover by Glee Cast
Ever since I heard this song back in 5th grade, I've loved it, making it my FAVORITE Christmas song.

“This Christmas” - Donny Hathaway
This song isn't like the typical sleigh ride, mistletoe song.
Favorite lyrics: "And this Christmas, will be a very special Christmas, for me."
“All Alone on Christmas” - Darlene Love
I LOVE this song, despite it being a song about being alone on the holiday. From the lyrics, to the beat, to Darlene Love's voice, I listen to it all holiday season.
Favorite lyrics: "I've got to know, Where do lonely hearts go, Because nobody ought to be all alone on Christmas"
“I’ll Be Home” - Meghan Trainor
I heard this song a few years ago on a Spotify Christmas playlist, and I sing the chorus at the top of my lungs because it's just that good.

“Feliz Navidad” - Jose Feliciano
This song is a CLASSIC, that my brother would appreciate because he has loved this song for years. Not to mention it's so freaking catchy!

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" - Burl Ives
Rudolph has always been one of my favorite childhood Christmas movies, besides Frosty the Snowman, both tell such cute stories both through the movies and the songs.
Favorite lyrics: "Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say, "Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
“Step Into Christmas” - Elton John
I first heard this song on 98.1 WOGL and since then, I make sure to listen to it every Christmas season.
Favorite lyrics: "Step into Christmas, let's join together. We can watch the snow fall forever and ever. Eat, drink and be merry, come along with me. Step into Christmas, the admission's free.
“Mistletoe" - Justin Bieber
I may not be the biggest JB fan, but this song could melt any girl's heart.
Favorite lyrics: "It's the most beautiful time of the year. Lights fill the streets, spreadin' so much cheer."
“Santa Tell Me” - Ariana Grande
I'm not an Ariana Grande fan either, but her voice is like no other especially singing Christmas songs so I just had to include her.
Favorite lyrics: "Santa tell me if you're really there. Don't make me fall in love again if he won't be here next year. Santa tell me if he really cares 'cause I can give it all away if he won't be here next year."
“Jingle Bell Rock” - Bobby Helms
I'll never forget, my grandfather bought my brothers and me a dancing Santa that shakes his hips to this song, we call him "Shaking Butt Santa."
Favorite lyrics: "What a bright time, it's the right time, to rock the night away. Jingle bell time is a swell time, to go gliding in a one-horse sleigh."
“Dominick the Donkey” - Lou Monte
Every day during December of my senior year in high school, 98.1 WOGL would play this song at exactly 7:00 a.m. At that time I would be driving myself and my younger brother to school and I sang along to every word in the car.

“Do They Know It’s Christmas” - Band Aid
There's no particular reason that this is one of my favorites other than I like the lyrics.

“Winter Wonderland” - Michael Buble
Any song he sings sounds so calming, yes even Christmas songs!
Favorite lyrics: "A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight. Walking in a winter wonderland."
“White Christmas/Blue Christmas” - Elvis Presley
Elvis may be the king of rock and roll, but his Christmas album screams king of Christmas with his dreamy voice.
Favorite lyrics: "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know. Where the treetops glisten and children listen, to hear sleigh bells in the snow"
