I just want to make something very clear for everyone. No matter how many times you tell me that it is too early to wear my Christmas sweater or listen to my Christmas music, I will still be wearing my cozy sweater and jamming out to Jingle Bell Rock in the fall. There is such discrimination against Christmas sweaters and music, and it's disgusting! Christmas is THE most wonderful time of the year! Why do I have to limit the time I'm enjoying it?? To me, that's like turning 21 and only drinking a margarita during that one week then never doing it again.
If you don't agree, please name another time of the year that people are giving joyfully (and voluntarily) to each other and coming together with their families and drinking hot cocoa while cozying up with the dog. Even if you don't celebrate it as Jesus' awesome birthday party, those are some pretty amazing things. If that doesn't appeal to you, I must assume you have green fur and live in Whoville or you're incredibly old and might want to prepare to be visited by the ghosts of your past, present, and future.
Make some freaking cookies with the fam. Build gingerbread houses. Enjoy some candy canes. Decorate the Christmas tree. Pray for snow 24/7. Break out the eggnog. Write letters to Santa. But not just in December!!!! TREAT YOURSELF! Make the fall jolly too.
So as soon as it starts getting colder, you can bet your bottom dollar that I'm already celebrating my favorite holiday. I don't only listen to Boyz II Men on Valentine's Day or only listen to Kenny Chesney on strictly the 4th of July, so I'm not going listen to my Christmas music just during the last couple weeks before December 25th! I'm most definitely not gonna wait to wear my favorite sweaters. I'm totally fine with being in jolly spirits longer than everyone else, why aren't you? ;)
