Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. From the decorations, the music, the all-around cheer, and the movies that come back out... what's not to love? My family loves Christmas movies, and thankfully, we are all in agreement about which ones are superior to others.
Here is a list I've curated for the best Christmas movie marathon you could possibly have.
"Four Christmases"
I'll be honest, I don't really ever watch this movie, but my parents LOVE it. So, I guess I can include it on my list.
"A Charlie Brown Christmas"
Let's be honest here, you just can't go wrong with a classic Charlie Brown holiday special!
"Elf"
Will Ferrell is one funny man, and he proves it by fully embodying a man-elf who gets to experience the real world of the city that never sleeps. This is probably one of the most quotable movies I know of.
"How The Grinch Stole Christmas"
Although there are several versions of this movie now, the one that I love the most is the live action one with Jim Carrey. Honestly, the Grinch is just a whole mood, ya know?
"The Santa Clause"
"The Santa Clause" ages like a fine wine. The older that I get, the more jokes I pick up on. If I'm in the mood to watch a Christmas movie, this tends to be my go-to.
"A Christmas Story"
Unlike "Christmas Vacation," my family reserves this movie for the 24-hour marathon that TBS puts on during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. According to my Timehop, I tweet my favorite line from the movie every single year.
"Randy lay there like a slug... it was his only defense."
"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"
This movie is hands down my family's favorite one to watch. We love it so much that it isn't saved for those cold winter months. We happily watch this one year round.
