On Christmas Eve at 12 pm the Cleveland Browns played the San Diego Chargers at First Energy Stadium. After a missed and blocked field goal by the Chargers the final score was 20-17, a Browns victory that resulted in the cancellation of the “perfect season parade” in honor of our winless season. A win that left the Cleveland Browns 1-14 a week before their final game of the season. Many have counted this as a Christmas miracle that many Clevelanders didn’t ask for, but some will see it as a Christmas miracle. Although Cleveland will not see another parade, many families throughout Northeast Ohio will see food on their tables, as the money that was raised for the parade will go to the Cleveland Food bank. Because of a radio host Clevelanders were able to raise over $9,000 for a parade that is now cancelled, now instead the money will go towards an even better cause; the hunger of many Clevelanders. This could indeed be a Cleveland miracle for many families across Northeast Ohio who will be given food to feed their children this holiday season. So, Cleveland may not be having a parade after the 1st of the year, but many more stomachs will be filled because of the donation to the Cleveland food bank. Cleveland’s win on Christmas Eve was indeed a win for more than just the football team; it was a win for hungry families across Northeast Ohio. A huge thank you is due to all that donated to the cause, for it is because of your donations that families will not go hungry this coming year. It took one win by the Cleveland Browns to give food to those that long for food this holiday season. So a huge thank you goes to the Cleveland Browns for not only giving Cleveland a win, but for giving many more families throughout Northeast Ohio food this holiday season.
