It's that time of year again. We are officially in full holiday swing. Trees are up, lights are glittering, and the mall is a madhouse. Christmas season has arrived. Now I'm about as holly and jolly as anyone else, but it's just a little different.
For most people Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ, and it's meant as a celebration of monumental religious importance. But for me, someone who isn't religious, it's a bit different. Christmas is about family for me. It's about setting aside any differences I may have. It's about taking my little brother to go look at all the lights. It's about decorating Christmas cookies with my dad. It's about telling my friends how much they mean to me. It's sitting down to watch Christmas movies. Most importantly it's about spending time with the people I love. It's my favorite time of the year and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
