Hello, my fellow Clevelanders! The snow has landed and we know it won't be leaving soon. But I want to challenge you to not let the snow kill your spirit and enjoy the many amazing parts of Cleveland in the winter. So put on NSYNC's "Home For Christmas" and read along, creating your own list of ways to take in Christmas this year in Cleveland.

Catch a Show at Playhouse Square

One of my favorite traditions that many elementary schools started was enjoying a Christmas performance at Playhouse! Through the next three weeks, there are multiple shows to catch. From "A Christmas Story" to "A Christmas Carol," you can come enjoy the amazing talent right downtown.

Send Out Christmas Cards

I know this is not really something that Millennials like to do you know the whole purchase stamps, hand write a card or put things in the mail. We prefer to shop online and receive! But imagine how happy your grandma is going to be when she gets your card ?! So just spend an evening on Pinterest researching some ideas for addressing. I like to use tutorials for fonts and go to town.

But what can you do when it's TOO BAD to go outside?

Put On Some Hallmark Christmas Movie Invite Friends and Family Over Bake Cookies

As much as I love to go out and explore the city, there is something ultimately refreshing by having a cozy night in. So just invite some friends over, preheat the oven and enjoy the company of the people who are already in your life that make it so great. This is sure to keep your from remembering the snow is coming down like crazy.

Have A Girls Night In and Pamper Yourself

Due to the wonderful cold, our skin is going to so much drier. This is the perfect time to treat your skin with additional attention to your skin. Why not have each person bring one item to make an at home sugar scrub and follow that with a rich lotion. You could make extra to take home in small mason jars to use all season long.

I hope that you found an idea that you will enjoy with your loved ones this holiday season. Don't let the snow freeze your heart. Enjoy some company from your friends and the wonderful baked good of the season.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
