Why Christmas is Actually My Favorite Holiday

The smell of trees and decorations float through the air as the family sets up the Christmas tree, the laughter of jokes and stories of Christmas' past. These are only a few of the things that I love about Christmas. I will never deny the fact that Christmas is actually my favorite holiday. I love the songs, the gifts, the lights and everything Christmas.

No, I do not forget Thanksgiving, but I mean I always eat a lot of food on Christmas too, especially when I go to my grandmother’s on Christmas Eve. She always makes the mini hotdogs that are super yummy. I love walking into stores that have all of their Christmas decorations out already. They have all of the twinkling lights and songs that play from the little buttons you push. My favorite thing is testing out all of the lights just to see what they do.

I cannot forget the music that the local radio station starts to play the day after Halloween. Nothing can put you in the Christmas mood like a little jingle bells. I enjoy being able to run around in the snow and make snow angels, although the cold really sucks. One of my all time favorite things to do is to travel around to see all of the houses with all of their Christmas lights up. There is one house where they actually play music and have lights that match the song, and you can just tune in on the radio station and watch outside!

All in all I will never deny that Christmas is truly my favorite holiday. I hope that every person is able to spend their holiday season with friends and family. The holidays are only special when you can share all of your happiness with the people around you. Hold your loved ones close and keep warm next to the fireplace, and have a happy holiday. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
