Finally, we are home for the holidays... something that we have been looking forward to all semester, but sometimes we oversell it in our mind. Coming home is always fun, but the extended Winter break is always full of excitement, awkward family reunions, and wishes of being back at school.
You're finally home and can be treated like the royalty that you are.
Your days are spent watching Netflix on the couch and ignoring your parents wishes to actually leave the house.
But after a few days boredom sets in.
And you really just want Christmas day to get here.
But until then, your parents drag you to their friends' Christmas parties and you end up being this girl in the corner.
It's inevitable that people will come up to you and ask, "So what are you doing now?"
As Christmas day approaches, your family comes into town.
And they compare the success of others to yours.
Then there is always that one relative who hates your generation and makes it known.
Finally, the presents are exchanged and the holiday comes to a close.
The next day your house is just as crowded and you're ready to get back to your Netflix Marathon.
Only a few days later it is time for you to head back to school which calls for celebration.
Happy Holidays!
