Christmas As Told By Ralphie From "A Christmas Story"

If you're a fan of the movie A Christmas Story, then keep reading! This movie is one of my favorite Christmas movies and always gets me in the Christmas spirit. If you're like my family, then you enjoy the 24 hour Christmas marathon of A Christmas Story. The characters are so hilarious you may even have some of the lines memorized like everyone's favorite quote, "Oh fudge," but if you have watched the movie, then you know that Ralphie didn't actually say "fudge." Here are some of the lines Ralphie says in A Christmas Story.

1. When someone asks you what you want for Christmas, you're so quick to respond:

"I want an official red ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle!"

2. When someone hears how crazy the present you want is you respond:

"Heh, I was just kidding, even though Schwartz is getting one. I guess I'd just like some tinker toys."

3. When you try to impress someone with a unique gift you say:

"I thought you might like something different."

4. When you can't convince your parents to buy you the gift you want you think:

"Santa. Yeah, I'll ask Santa."

5. When your parents ask you what your grades are to determine the amount of presents you're getting you make up:

"C+?"

6. When your dad tries to tell funny Christmas jokes and you don't wanna hurt his feelings you reply:

"He he, that's a good one dad!"

7. When your parents catch you sneaking into their room to find the unwrapped presents you yell:

"Ohhhh fuuudge!"

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
