Best Live Performances: Christina Perri

I’ve been to show after show, from rap concerts to country concerts, from indie rock to folk, I love it all. I am my happiest at a live performance, there’s something therapeutic about seeing one of your favorite performers live, in a whole room of other people who love that performer as much as you. I saw Christina Perri in 2014 when she opened for Demi Lovato. I don't usually like huge arena concerts as much as I love general admission concert halls, but this was different. I had been having a tough year and seeing Demi Lovato live was something that was keeping me together, I had seen her live before and it had made me so happy. I could relate to her music and I felt as if she knew how I felt. Little did I know, her opening act would hit me just as hard. Christina Perri had a quirky persona that lit up the arena, I loved every second of her opening and didn't want it to end. After that concert I had developed a new found appreciation for Christina Perri and her ability to light up a room and fill it with bad (but awesome) dance moves and beautiful vocals.

7. When someone famous or fictional character shares your name, you get so happy

8. “What’s your name?” “It’s [name]” “I’m sorry, what was it again?”

9. You’ve pretty much seen every misspelling and heard every mispronunciation of your name throughout your life

10. When you find another person with an “ethnic” sounding name, you both get excited

11. Despite the struggles, your name is pretty unique… just like you
