Attention Christian Voters!

The REAL Christian candidate.

Attention Christian Voters!

I opened up the Odyssey today to write an article on third party voting but the first story on my dashboard was called "Attention Christian Voters." Being me, a Christian, I thought that somebody had finally seen that Hillary is the more Christian candidate; however, I was sadly mistaken. This article stated that Donald Trump was the Christian candidate. I was very very confused as to how she came about this conclusion. Now yes, Hillary Clinton is a Democrat and this means she advocates for Pro-Choice which most Republicans do not agree with and I see their perspectives on that, but otherwise, nothing Trump has said or done is Christian. The Golden Rule that came straight from Jesus of Nazareth is "Do unto others what you would have them do unto you." I do not think I have gone a day without seeing Donald Trump tweet a rude comment. He demeans women and there is now video evidence of him saying he sexually assaults women because his status allows him to. This is absurd and the exact reason rape is such a major issue in this country, because people in power blow it off as "locker room talk." Remaining on this topic, Donald Trump also wishes to discriminate against Muslim immigrants and use "extreme vetting" as a screening process. This is a series of questions that are basically unanswerable. They would include, "[questions about] beliefs match[ing] US values on gay rights, gender equality and religious freedoms, among others." How would these immigrants know this when many Republicans did not this even want gay marriage to be equal? This method is not loving your neighbor as yourself when these questions can all receive different answers from current US citizens. If this point alone still has you thinking Trump is more Christian than Hillary, Mrs. Clinton has literally had discussions about exact books in the Bible with her voters. She has been raised a Methodist and even discussed what the ten commandments meant to her and how her ideals align with those ideals. Clinton even said that the most important commandments to her are to "to love the Lord with all your might and to love your neighbor as yourself" Sounds exactly like what any true Christian would want as a president, at least to me. Now if for some bizarre reason you need MORE evidence that Hillary Clinton is more Christian than Donald Trump, it is the fact that Donal Trump has had three different wives. The Christian ideals are for one woman and one man to be together until "death do us part" but I guess Trump has lived three different lives. Hebrew 13:4 says, "let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." This seems to be another way that Donald Trump has not kept up the Christian persona. He openly admitted that he pursued women a mere three months after marrying Melania. Very Christian. Right? If I have not changed your mind yet, I will give you yet another example of how Donald Trump is not Christian. Matthew 7:5 states, "you hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." Donald Trump spent the entire second debate talking about how terrible Hillary Clinton is and how she needs to "apologize for her emails" which she has, every time he has brought it up almost; however, Trump refuses to apologize to Alicia Machado. She is the winner of Trump's first Miss America pageant who he referred to as "disgusting," "Miss Piggy," and "Mrs. Housekeeping." There is one more point I want to bring up when it comes to lying. People continuously say how Hillary lies more than Trump, yet Politifact says that in "false" statements Trump has a 99 to 27 lead on Hillary and in the "Pants on Fire" category Trump leads Clinton 49 to 6. Proverbs 12:22 states, "The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy." Hillary does lie some, but in a statistical breakdown she is definitely more trustworthy as commander in chief. These are just a few examples, but honestly, if you are a true Christian, you know who the real Christian candidate is, it is just up to you to vote for her.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
