To The Christian Coming Back To God

Sometimes we let life get the best of us -- School, work, whatever it may be. Sometimes, God unintentionally gets put on the back burner, and before you know it, you cannot find your relationship with God anymore. You find yourself at a loss of words trying to form a prayer, or to ask for forgiveness for allowing God's place in your life to fall. You just don’t know where to begin a relationship with God again. Whatever the reason for reawakening your relationship with God, you did for a reason and a purpose. God always forgives and always welcomes His children back with open arms.

The Lord will fight for you, you only need to be still.” Exodus 14:14

God is always fighting for you. He knows when He is not a priority in your life anymore and He is constantly trying to pursue you. It is up to you whether you listen or not. It is okay to come back. You may feel guilty or that you don’t deserve to live a Christian lifestyle, but that is not true. All Christians are sinners. All Christians are not perfect. Every Christian, at some point in their lives, have or will stray from God. We are all human; Which means we're not perfect. Sometimes, life gets in the way and it shadows the important things in our lives like family or God. Sometimes we place those important relationships on the back burner because we know that they will always be there for us. We know that they love us unconditionally and will patiently wait for us. We cannot take those people for granted. We cannot take God for granted.

In order to pursue your relationship with God, you must put Him first. Not just in times of need, but everyday and every night. Pray to Him. Say thank you. Pray for the people you love, pray for guidance, and pray for your relationship with Him. Never rest on praying and talking to God. Go to Church. Going to church is so important; Not only because it says so in the bible, but also because you learn so much about God in a different perspective. You keep yourself accountable for pursuing God and surround yourself with people that will help you with your relationship with God as well. Who you surround yourself with can really influence you on if you will soar or struggle with pursuing Him. Do a daily devotional. Just a short passage to get you through your day. Not only can it help you with your relationship with God tremendously, but can help your outlook on the day. When you show up for God, He will show out in you.

The only thing that can satisfy the human heart, is the one that made it.”

Pursing a relationship with God again is possible, and you can and will be able to accomplish it. God wants nothing more than to be accepted and loved by you. Just let Him in. Your fear will leave, your heart will be compassionate, and God will move in your life in ways that are indescribable.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
