Chris Pratt was the 2018 MTV Generation Award recipient, delivering a light-hearted and inspirational acceptance speech directed toward the younger generations, self-titled "9 Rules from Chris Pratt." Even though Pratt is addressing the younger audiences, I think everyone can benefit from his advice, so....

1. Breathe.

"So you don't suffocate." Literally and figuratively.

2. You have a soul!

"Be careful with it."

3. Don't be a turd...

"If you're strong, be a protector, and if you're smart be humble influencer. Strength and intelligence can be weapons, don't wield them against the weak. That makes you a bully."

4. When you're giving a dog medicine, put it in a tiny piece of hamburger.

"They won't even know they're eating medicine."

5. It doesn't matter what it is, earn it.

"A good deed? Reach out to someone in pain, be of service. It feels good and it's good for your soul."

6. God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you.

"Believe that, I do."

7. If you have to poop at a party, but you're embarrassed, just do what I do: lock the door, sit down, get all the pee out first, then once all the pee's out, poop flush. Boom.

"You minimize the amount of time the poop is touching the air, because if you poop first it takes you longer to pee, and then you're peeing on top of it, stirring it up. Then the poop particles create a cloud that goes out, and then everyone in the party will know that you pooped. Just trust me."

8. Learn to pray.

"It's easy, and it's so good for your soul."

9. Nobody is perfect!

"People are going to tell you you're perfect just the way you are, you're not. You are imperfect. You always will be. But, there is a powerful force that made you that way, and if you're willing to accept that, you will have grace. Grace is a gift. And like the freedom that we enjoy, grace was paid for by somebody else's blood. Do not forget it. Don't take it for granted."

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
