It hasn't been easy for Miami Heats Forward, Chris Bosh, after having to sit out of their playoff run leading to the end of their season following a series loss to the Toronto Raptors. Bosh hasn't seemed to catch a break. This isn't the first time Bosh had to sit out, being ruled out of the 2014-15 season after the Febuarary trade deadline, but now not being cleared to play for Miami's training camps, questioning his eligibility of the 2016-17 season.
Bosh had recently been posting on being hopeful for his return, working out with teammates and other players like former Heat Guard Dwyane Wade. Bosh has stated that he was ready to play, leading his fans to believe that he was healthy and able to have a productive season following the loss of Wade to the Chicago Bulls. However, the results from a series of medical tests weren’t enough to convince Miami that he’s able to play and suppressed his hopes to participate in Heat's training and NBA season.
"Everybody's seen it when you're holding the trophy up, when everything's all good. You never see the low parts."

After winning two NBA championships,Bosh remains the last player apart of the Big 3 on the Miami Heat due to both LeBron James and Wade returning to their home teams. With Bosh's consistent ineligibility to play for Miami, he may be seeing a departure from the Heat sooner than expected. Bosh was told by doctors that his career was likely over after the second appearance of the blood clots.
“I wouldn’t be a friend if I didn’t express to him my concerns,” Wade said. “To me, the biggest thing is Chris has five kids and a wife and a family that depends on him being there. To me, that’s always most important. I told him, ‘Make sure you focus on that first.’”
From a star on the Raptors to a star on the Heat to the purgatory of nothingness due to his blood clots, it's clear Bosh's love for basketball will not stop and he will be persistent in hopes of returning to play in the NBA regardless of franchise. It is a business and Heat would mean no disrespect moving him as they try to rebuild around Hassan Whiteside after losing their star players. With so many accomplishments already made and having your life on the line to pursue your passion, is it really worth it for the Heat's All-Star to try and make a return?
