I Choose To Be Happily Single Because...

Who ever said, "single sucks?"

As a wise person stated, "The word single is not a status, it is a word that describes a person who is strong enough to live and enjoy life by themselves." It's just me, myself and I for many reasons. I am single because I have accepted the fact to be by myself because let's face it, the dating world sucks. Also, in my opinion, I do not believe that someone should depend on another individual for their own happiness.

1. I'm SINGLE because no one takes relationships seriously anymore.

I have realized that now more than ever before more and more people are having trust issues because of a partner being unfaithful. This isn't always the issue; however, some millennials do not take a relationship as serious.

2. I'm an independent woman.

No, I do not need a man to change my tire, make a business deal, mow the lawn, fix my car or anything else "a typical man" would be able to do. If a man can do it just as well, I am sure I can get it done better.

3. I'd rather be with someone with goals and dreams.

Nothing is sexier than someone who is pursuing their goals and dreams because they want to feel accomplished and happy with what they worked for.

4. Guys tend to think you're a b**** based on your looks or shyness.

You can call it bitch face syndrome or whatever, but it's really just my shyness being around other people that I don't know. Once I start talking though, I wont stop (so beware).

5. I'm constantly on the move to achieve more goals.

I am always on the move to achieve success, I just don't have enough time for someone to distract me with nonsense.

6. I'm intimidating.

I can be intimidating and overpowering because that's just who I am, and not everyone will like that. That's fine too.

7. I'm stubborn and outspoken.

I am an opinionated woman and if you don't like what I have to say then I don't know what to tell you. I will defend anything I believe and will not back out of an argument even if I know I am wrong.

8. I don't have time to date boys, I need a REAL man.

To be honest I don't want someone who still lives at home, doesn't know what they want and how to get it. I would rather be fine by myself. Once a real man comes along, then we can talk.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
