When perusing the abundant shelves filled to the top with books, there are so many options that the answer can seem to be lost among the many.
1. The first step is to decide whether or not you want a book similar to the ones you have chosen before because if so, I would suggest following the pattern and choosing a book from an author you have read and liked before. However, if you are interested in something unprecedented and new, you must start from the beginning.
2. Searching through the covers for intriguing images depicting enchanting tales. Reading the cover to try and guess what wonders will fill those pages is like mulling over your choice.
3. Eventually, after many books are considered, your gut tells you which one to choose — much like when you follow your instinct in life.
4. In the end, you will never know the quality of the book until you begin to read. Page after page, the author’s world becomes more real and as impactful as making real life choices can be. Luckily, there is no contract that says you must finish a certain book, like the lack of permeance with choices. You have the power to change and grow by making new choices and starting over again.
5. Consequently, just like literature stays with you long after, choices have the same capability.
As you are meandering through life, and making choice after choice, think back to that time you were at the local library, and trying to choose a book to read because life is like choosing a book.
