Chloe's Beauty Favorites: December

December was surprisingly a great month for discovering new makeup favorites! Along with some oldies, I loved my makeup looks all throughout last month. I wanted to share my top five favorites from the month to inspire you, or to help you find a new favorite yourself!

1. The BEST Liquid Lipstick

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick - $24

These liquid lippies claim 8 hour wear.. and they get pretty darn close to that! I can wear these and eat a meal without being self conscious that my lip game has been compromised. They feel comfortable on the lips and won't crack. Just be sure your lips are in good condition before wearing!

2. My go-to fragrance

Sud Pacifique's Vanilla Abricot Perfume - $36 1 fl. oz.

This perfume is an oldie favorite of mine. While I prefer the rollerball application of it (way too strong with the spray on their bottle) this is my favorite scent.

3. The perfect all-over lid shade

Colourpop "Koosh" Eyeshadow - $5

Can we all just stop and take a moment to gawk at this shadow? And also please ignore how rough of shape my pan of it is in... this eyeshadow has been well used in the short time I've had this. Koosh is perfect for application all over the lid with a matte swipe of color in the crease. One of the easiest looks to do on the eyes! I'm ordering two more to stockpile because I am so obsessed with this shade!

4. Lash primer for long lashes

Smashbox Photo Finish Lash Primer - $23

What the heck is lash primer? Do you even need it? Both of those questions remain unanswered by me, but I love adding this primer to my lash routine. I do this before applying mascara, while I'm finishing up my contour and highlight. This helps to separate and extend my lashes, preparing them for my mascara to go smoothly on top. It goes on white, but give it a little time to dry before applying and you shouldn't notice it through your mascara.

5. The only bronzer for contour you need

Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer - $29

This is without a doubt, hands down, the best and only bronzer you need to contour with. It's not too warm, while also matte, meaning your contour will look natural! However, you can make your contour look as sharp as you want by layering this product up. This is the easiest product to contour your nose and cheekbones with! I swear by this.

Did you have any December beauty or makeup favorites?

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
