As a child, everybody had wonderful dreams about their future. When we were asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" it wasn't a difficult question. We knew actually what we wanted to be, who we were going to be and who we aspired to be like. Whether it was to be famous, a firefighter or even to be an astronaut, it was important to us back then so it must have some short of meaning relevant to us now. So think back to when you were totally oblivious to the real world and anything was possible in your head. Back when salaries and schooling didn't cross your mind. Who were you going to become? What was your dream job?

1. Astronaut

You want adventure in your life, not only do you want to travel around the world, but you want to experience something that few people will ever encounter. You don't want to share this adventure, you want to experience something out of this world with few others. You love everything about excitement and will even risk your life for it. You also want to discover, being able to uncover something no one has ever seen before is a goal. You are probably also really into space.

2. A Professional Athlete

Not only do you like competition, but you love to win. Coming in second is not an option for you. There is nothing like winning a game or making that last minute basket, goal, run or touchdown. Watching others play on the TV makes you want to play even more. You love the bond of being on a team and working together. There is nothing that compares to being super sweaty after a long game or practice. You want to be the best, you have to be the best and you are the best.

3. Teacher

You live your life to help others succeed. If they don't do well, then you consider it a personal failure. You don't care about how much you are paid as long as you are doing what you love that is all that matters. You love children even when they are incredibly frustrating, don't listen and drain everything out of you. You are super kind and caring. Waking up at 6 a.m. isn't that big of an issue for you, even if you have to stay after or tutor a student until 6 p.m. You love being a student even if you are the teacher. You are open to learning new things in any form you can.

4. Celebrity

You love having the spotlight on you and performing in front of people. The thought of people wanting to be you is impressive. If paparazzi is the only downfall to your day, then you are living the dream. You can be a huge diva sometimes, but you are still super nice and open about your personal life. If you have a talent that only few people have, then you want to share it with as many people as you can. You aren't afraid of what others will say about how you live your life. So you are OK with having it in the public eye. Even if that means you have to go through what Britney Spears did in 2007.

5. Firefighter

Being a real life hero is what you want to be even if you personally don't get the credit. You want to feel the feeling of saving someones life and running into a fire just to make sure everything is safe. You love the thrill of doing something dangerous and risking your life to do it. Going into something knowing that there is a huge possibility that you might not come out is not a big deal to you. Sitting at a desk all day is not your cup of tea, being up and moving is more like it. You are insanely brave and selfless when it comes to an other person's well being.

6. Chef

Making something beautiful for others to enjoy is what you strive to do. You don't need your name on this item so you get all the credit. Knowing that you made something that people come to pay for is enough of an award. You do well under pressure. Whether it is finishing a dish on time or just finishing a paper at the last minute, it still ends up being your best work. Also, food is the love of your life and you are down to try anything as long as it has a little flavor in it.

7. Artist

Your imagination and creativity is out of this world. You always have crazy ideas running through your head. You can get inspiration from sitting outside, having a conversation or pretty much anything. Money is nothing but a number to you, you could live with any amount of money. As long as it meant you didn't have to do something you didn't enjoy. You don't want to be like anyone else; being unique is something you strive for. You don't like being stressed and can only work if you are relaxed. You can sit and do the same thing all day and still feel accomplished.

8. Superhero

The ability to do something that no one else can do is your dream. Back then it was probably to fly, be invisible, have super speed or maybe be invisible. You aren't satisfied with just saving one persons life, but saving mankind is more your thing. You might not be into them now, but you were all for those spandex outfits back then and maybe a cape (despite what "The Incredibles" has taught us). You are willing to risk your life to help the world, but you know that you will always come out on top, so that's not really an issue.

That dream job that you wanted to have as a child might not be as practical as you once thought it was. Although, within those dream jobs contain the person you hoped you would become. So, are you the person that you wanted to be?

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
