Does one really ever get over a childhood crush?

I think we can all agree that there are certain celebrity crushes from our childhood that we will never get over. We may not talk about it all the time, or even think about them, but when that movie or song comes on you best believe we're fangirling like we're 13 all over again. From Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez to Austin Ames, here are the childhood crushes I'm still not over.

1. Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez (The Sandlot)

I don't think I've ever loved baseball so much in my life.

2. Jesse McCartney

If you didn't freak out like London and Maddie did whenever Beautiful Soul came on, are you even a girl?

3. Austin Ames (A Cinderella Story)/Lucas Scott (One Tree Hill)

Chad Michael Murray....setting unrealistic high school expectations since '03

4. Andy Brinker (Brink!)/Josh Bryant (The Princess Diaries)

I'm pretty sure for a full week after watching "Brink!" I wanted to be a professional rollerblader, unfortunately that didn't pan out. My crush on Josh lasted all of about half the movie, till he proved what a jerk he was, poor Mia!

5. Proto Zoa (Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century)

If you didn't jam out to Zoom, Zoom, Zoom and want to be Proto Zoa's Supernova girl you're lying.

6. Phil (Phil of the Future)

Insert heart eye emojis

7. The Jonas Brothers

When you were in love with Nick and Joe, and felt bad for Kevin. It's okay Kevin, we all still loved you!

8. Gordo (Lizzie McGuire)

He may not have been our crush at the time, but looking back Gordo is the epitome of friendship goals & a perfect example of boys that should NEVER be put in the friendzone!!

9. Troy Bolton (High School Musical)

He may not be Troy Bolton anymore, but lucky for us, Zac Efron only gets better with age.

10. Jake Ryan and Jesse (Hannah Montana)

The episode where Miley chooses between Jake Ryan and Jesse was hands down the most stressful part of my childhood. #TeamJesse

11. Aaron Carter

I want candy was my anthem. (PS he follows me on twitter #dead)

12. Ryan Sheckler

Because one picture just isn't enough to express how still in love with Ryan Sheckler I am.

13. Uncle Jesse (Full House)

Have you ever seen a more attractive eye roll? Have mercy.

14. Shawn Hunter (Boy Meets World)

The screw up that everyone was rooting for.

15. Jack Hunter (Boy Meets World)

And we can't forget Shawn's half brother who made "Boy Meets World" even better than it already was, if that was even possible.

16. Landon Carter (A Walk To Remember)

The reason every girl thinks they can turn a bad boy, good.

17. Nathan Scott (One Tree Hill)

The original jerk turned nice guy.

18. Logan Reese (Zoey 101)

Even when you hated him, you still loved him.

19. Zack and Cody (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody)

Twin heartthrobs from day 1

20. Shark Boy (The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl)

Before anyone knew just how attractive Taylor Lautner could be as a werewolf.

21. Derek (The Cheetah Girls)

I think we all died a little inside when Derek brushed Galleria's cheek and thought it was the most scandalous thing we'd ever seen.

22. Kyle Johnson (The Luck of the Irish)/Ben Cooper (Smart House)

Good at basketball and threw raging parties? How could we possibly get over this crush.

23. Cadet Major Brad Rigby (Cadet Kelly)

Girls love a guy in uniform.

24. Jordan Cahill (Stuck in the Suburbs)

The original "Justin Bieber" and every girls favorite rockstar.

25. Galen Alderman (Double Teamed)

A lot of people may not remember this beautiful human being, but I sure do and he's still worth crushing over.

26. Jesse Aarons (Bridge to Terabithia)

Before he was known to the world as Peeta Mellark, Josh Hutcherson captured our hearts as Jesse from Bridge to Terabithia and we only grew to love him more.

The list could go on and on forever, but these are just some of my childhood crushes I'm still not over and probably never will be. You can most definitely catch me fangirling over all these handsome fella's for the rest of time.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
