A Letter To My Childhood Best Friends

To my childhood best friends,

It's mind-blowing to look back on all the memories we've shared, and compare it to where each of us are in life as of today. And the reality is, I wouldn't be where I am without you.

The reason I say this is because we grew up together; we shaped each other into the people we are today. We may all be on different paths of life, but that doesn't mean you didn't help to get me here.

I became who I am because you helped me to find my true interests and liking's, and assisted me in developing my future dreams. I'm where I am because you stood by my side through those awkward stages during growing up, all the good times, as well as the bad, and I stood by yours.

To me, you all were life changers. I can only imagine how dissimilar things would be now if I had different friends growing up. I'd have differing influences and probably would've developed totally new liking's, habits, goals, etc.

The sad reality is that we are all in different stages of our lives, and have somewhat drifted due to this. But what has came to my realization as well is that childhood friends are forever friends, and will be there no matter how "separated" we may become (although I hope we don't). Childhood friends will have your back because they have since day one, and you don't have to see them everyday to maintain a friendship; it's just kind of a known and accepted fact.

I love this because I know I will always have you in my life, despite any changes that occur in our individual lives that may affect visits or time spent together. I know that no amount of distance could change our continual, strong friendship that we have.

So for that, I thank you for sticking by my side throughout the years and making me who I am today. I most definitely couldn't have done it without you. And although I wish we were closer, I am still thankful to be able to call you my friend to this day. And I will never will think of you as any less.

Sincerely,

Your forever friend

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

You know that all of these things apply to you. You'll just never tell.

CSU

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
