The 1990s get most of the love when it comes to having the best movies and some of the most iconic TV shows. Well, I beg to differ. I believe the early millennium is responsible for some of the best chick flicks and rom-coms not just of our time, but of all time. Personally, I know these movies made my child/teen-hood, and taught me some very important lessons, and more importantly about "girl-world" (Mean Girls reference - hopefully you can keep up).

Miss Congeniality (2000)

This seems to be the beginning of Sandra Bullock's reign on our generation, and she hasn't let up since. Anyone want to join a pageant?

Bring it On (2000)

I heard there was a spark of interest in cheerleading to the early 2000s, it must have been because of this classic.

Coyote Ugly (2000)

As soon as I turned 21, and found out there was a Coyote Ugly in Las Vegas, you better believe that was one of the first places I went; everyone has to dance on a bar at least once in their lives.

Princess Diaries (2001)

I'm still waiting for a long lost grandmother to come and tell me I am a princess after all.

Legally Blonde (2001)

Elle Woods is one of the main reasons I joined a sorority, too bad my bid from Delta Nu never came in.

The Wedding Planner (2001)

Because of this movie, my minor in college was event planning,

Sweet Home Alabama (2002)

Because of this movie and Josh Lucas, my attraction to southern men and cowboys occurred.

Blue Crush (2002)

This movie sparked my interest in surfing, and led me to a surf/beach camp, only to find out how bad I actually was.

Maid in Manhattan (2002)

Being a maid was never so glamourous as it was for JLo in uptown New York. I'll admit it, I thought about being a maid, then I remembered how much I hated cleaning.

What A Girl Wants (2003)

Before the epic Amanda Bynes Twitter scandal, Amanda was a role model for girls everywhere.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003)

This was the beginning of my personal obsession with Kate Hudson, does she actually age?

13 Going on 30 (2004)

Easily one of the best movies to watch at a sleepover with all your friends.

The Notebook (2004)

The greatest and always will be, the best love story ever. Period.

The Prince and Me (2004)

Has anyone actually met a prince in college?

Raising Helen (2004)

Again with Kate Hudson, she's practically perfect and made me want to move to New York.

Mean Girls (2004)

Easily the most quotable movie ever, it's so fetch.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005)

Did anyone else and their friends try to find a pair of jeans that fit all of them perfectly?!

Devil Wears Prada (2006)

Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway are a dynamic duo that either sparked an interest or a hatred to work in the fashion industry.

She's the Man (2006)

This by far may have to be one of my favorite movies ever.

Any 00's movie you love not make my list? Well...sorry not sorry.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
