I took a look around The Harold Washington Library in South Loop. This is the central library of the Chicago Public Library System. I work just down the street and this was the first time I explored this amazing building.
There is colorful and creative artwork at the end of most hallways on every level.
I was taken by the marble and design of the floor tiles.
There also is an exhibit devoted to the veterans of America.
The very top floor of the building is a room with soft lighting, huge ceilings and plants - the winter garden.
