Organic chemsitry/OChem/Orgo Hell is widely understood as a rather difficult class. (Especially if you take the combined class CEM 143 at Michigan State University). Out of all of the problems and the reading, I have to admit I still ask these questions, and it's only week five.

1. Why are we doing this at 8 a.m.? Why couldn't we have at least moved this to a 9:10....?

2. No I Clicker questions, why am I here? No I Clicker points, no problem, but the notes are still not online so you know you have to go to class.

3. You go to office hours because you can count it towards your study time...right? One hour at office hours counts towards studying, I think...?

4. It goes from, this is an atom to name this four ring molecule real quick, but why? I'm sorry could we please slow down?

5. Club Lib until 1 a.m.? 1 a.m. study sessions just to make sure you do that quiz on Wednesday morning.

6. It makes you wonder why you’re even a science major. I'm doing this for the wealth and security of my future family, but could I do this another way?

Oh college, lovely, lovely college. A four-year time span that is filled with many highs and many lows. It is a time where one day you can feel like you are on top of the world and then the next day you are 500 feet below the ground surface.

It's a pain to learn but it's definitely worth it in the end.

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.
