Chelsea Handler Changes Netflix

Stream your much-needed dose of sexually ambiguous, graciously hilarious and mildly vulgar humor -- three days a week.

Chelsea Handler Changes Netflix
Entertainment Weekly
“It’s just hard to go from seeing elephants living their lives in the wild and not being bothered by humans, to seeing them put in a bunker every night and then being forced to take assholes like us on rides.”

I've never been a fan of comedians or comedy shows. I've never liked late-night talk shows. But Chelsea Handler changed all of that.

"My tendency to make up stories and lie compulsively for the sake of my own amusement takes up a good portion of my day and provides me with a peace of mind not easily attainable in this economic climate."

After the ever-so-successful "Uganda Be Kidding Me" on Netflix, along with the newly added episodes of "Chelsea Does," on racism, marriage, Silicon Valley and drugs, Chelsea Handler will be re-entering the Netflix realm -- this time, in a unique way. Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night, her new 30-minute talk show episodes will become available for streaming.

“I’m a ridiculous person. If you take anything any comedian says seriously, then you’re stupid."

Premiering May 11, Chelsea's talk show will show three nights a week from there on. But "talk show" doesn't do the new show justice. According to Entertainment Weekly, Handler said, “You’ll be traveling around the world and learning new things all courtesy of Netflix. Treat this as an opportunity to get the college education you forgot to get."

So, why this recently rash decision to jump from E! to Netflix? The celebrities she had to work with? (*cough* Justin Bieber) The content she was dealing with? Handler told ET, "It's the difference between playing with kids on a playground and being in a really well-respected college."

Streaming to 186 countries, she wants to keep it real and intriguing to all. By writing a letter to herself, and posting it on social media, she revealed comical (of course) details of her show.

She writes to herself, "Sign up with Netflix." Previously, Handler joked about needing to learn how to stream and continues that joke to this day.

Her dream guest list consists of "Michelle Obama" and "The Pope" and "Arnold Schwarzenegger."

With some motivation and sass, she writes, "You wanted a new show, you got it. You wanted to be on Netflix, you are. You wanted to spread your wings, now fly bitch." How can you not love her?

So, tune into Netflix on May 11, or May 12, or any day, anytime, to watch Chelsea Handler's talk show -- which remains unnamed to the public -- to get your much-needed dose of sexually ambiguous, graciously hilarious and mildly vulgar humor.

“Laugh loudly, laugh often, and most important, laugh at yourself.”

Christmas Tree
History.com

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
