In honor of the New Year, I had posted a resolution of 10 things I wanted to accomplish by 2018. With junior year of college wrapped up I figured now would be a good time to check in and see where I'm at now.
1. Read Through The Entire Bible.
Currently I am still plodding along through the Old Testament. I have just made it to Zephaniah. Only four books left in the Old Testament and then I'll be on to the New Testament. Oh wait.. I have to go back to the Psalms. I have 'til December 31. I got this. I'm also learning a lot which is the real point of reading the Bible, to learn more and more each time.
2. Develop Myself Professionally
Hey this one is going well! I have secured an internship in the fall and I will also be working for this agency. Whaddup, I'm doing good things. I also have an internship in a Children's Ministry this summer. Hello professional occupations!
3. Establish A Deeper Relationship With God
Quack... um maybe? This has definitely been one of the most challenging semesters so far. Between difficult classes and things with friends, this semester has been strenuous. I don't know if I've relied on God as much as I could have or should have. I kept trying though. I kept trying to read and pray and trust. That alone gets it's own credit. I'll never be perfect; always trying though.
4. Love Better
Well.... not really sadly. I struggled very much this semester in learning to love other people and to act with kindness. There were wins and there were losses.
5. Develop A Sense Of Rhythm
It's just never going to happen and one day I will accept this.
6. I'm Going to Write At Least Three Times A Week
Ha. Well... hopefully this summer.
7. Love Myself More
I'm not a potato. I am a pretty fine french fry though.
8. Get Healthy
Sort of. Definitely a stress eater, but I have summer plans for less stress, and a gym buddy!
9. Continue My All A Streak
Jury is still out on this one... hello POL 352, you may have ruined me.
10. Trust God More
I think so. Definitely some curveballs have come where I've been given no choice but to believe in his will for me and my friends. It's not perfect, but I do think it's improving.
