You Need To Check Out Wildin' Clothing Co.
Wildin' Clothing Co

We all see the ads every time we take a scroll through Facebook. The small brands that support various organization, animals, or people with some, if not all, of the money from their sales on their boho, outdoorsy, hipster-esque clothes.

To be honest, I fall victim to many of these ads, but I never actually end up buying anything, because...college. I never considered that I could afford the clothing until I checked out one particular brand (and its ambassador program). That brand being Wildin' Clothing Co.

After a quick scroll through their site I knew that I wanted to support their company, and in turn, cause. Wildin' clothing believes that clothing should cause no harm and donates to various causes semi-annually. Some of these recipients of the donations are Defenders of Wildlife, Breast Cancer Patients (specifically during Breast Cancer awareness month), Individuals Experiencing Homelessness, and sponsorship of Environmental Cleanups.

So far they have sponsored 12 different environmental cleanups across the country. The sites of these cleanups range from forests and parks to beaches and highly used and littered areas. During their cleanups, they work side-by-side with those doing the manual labor, which typically includes some of their ambassadors.

One of the reasons supporting Wildin' Clothing Co. is so realistic for me as a college student is the fact that they offer an "Ambassador Program". Essentially, if you apply and agree to post some pictures or promote their company (disclaimer: I am not writing this article because I am an Ambassador for Wildin', I just truly love their company) you get a discount that ranges from 25-30%, depending on the day. And sometimes you can get even better deals (aka your birthday, and other random times). What is even better is that they allow their Ambassadors to use their discount codes on sale items! How many times do sites let you use coupon codes on sale items? The answer to that question: not often!

Because of this opportunity, that I have seized more than willingly, I have been able to purchase a few shirts from Wildin', but I currently only have one shirt. And the only reason for that is because I ordered my second one ten minutes before writing this article. Their shipping is incredibly good, so I'm sure I'll have that one in no time!

But what really solidified my love for this brand was when they offered a free shirt to any student who participated in the National Walkout on March 14 that was done in solidarity with the Parkland shooting victims. Every. Single. Person. who reached out to them and showed them they participated (be it a snap story, anecdote, or photo) got a code for a free shirt. Not many companies are willing to do that and be so vocal about their support/stance for/on controversial topics.

It makes me proud to be a Wildin' Clothing Co. Ambassador.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
