1. Make a list.
A list of what you need to get for each person will help you so that you don’t go to the store and forget about something. Use another list to find out which stores you have to go to, it will be easier so you don’t have to walk across the mall a few times. Make sure to check off each item as you get it so you don’t accidentally get something twice or forget something. Don't forget that even Santa himself uses a list so check it twice.
2. Check your email to make sure that you have all the coupons you possibly can to try and save money.
Sometimes you can find things cheaper online than in stores but be careful to check when it will be shipped because things go on back order and might not com win until after the holidays. As a college student I am always checking my email to see if a store I like has some major can not miss sale.
3. Bring someone with you.
Obviously you can’t shop for this person while they are with you but they can make sure you’re keeping to your list and not over spending. Having someone else there also could make the trip a little more enjoyable plus an extra set of hands to carry bags never hurt.
4. If you are shopping for a lot of people, take a couple days to do all the shopping.
The process could be overwhelming if you did it all in one day. If you do decide that you are superman/wonder woman than make sure you schedule a lunch break into your shopping day. I know I get hangry if I don’t eat for an extended period of time.
5. Lastly, make sure the holidays stay an upbeat and joyful time of year.
If you run into any trouble with someone while shopping remember that it is the time of year for giving. Don’t yell or get upset an any employees for not having exactly what you need because it really isn’t their fault. Shop with a smile and have a happy holiday.
