Recently I cut a little of my hair off because I was tired of having heat damaged ends. I didn't have to cut off much because I didn't have that much heat damage. So once I cut it I kept my hair flat ironed for a little bit.
Two weeks went by and I didn't want to keep putting heat on my hair so I decided to take a break from heat and just wear my hair natural. I tried three products, two of them I had never used before. Here is my product review on these products.
I first tried Aussie 3 minute miracle moist. This was my first time using this product so I was a little scared. I always thought Aussie was for people with different hair types than mine so I didn't think it would do anything for my hair, I was wrong. Instead of leaving this deep conditioner on for three minutes I left it on for an hour.
When I washed it out of my hair I loved the results. My hair smelled so good (and it still does). My hair feels so hydrated, my curl pattern was starting to come back, it was soft and very moist. I bought my bottle from Target for only $4.99. Normally when products are this cheap they don't do very much, but this wasn't the case and I for sure will KEEP using this product.
After I used the deep conditioner on my hair, I then went ahead and co-washed( conditioner and shampoo) my hair. Once my hair was nice and clear, I separated my hair into 4 sections. I then went ahead and started to apply the curl enhancing smoothie into my hair. I also used this as a moisturizer for my hair, but it also helped define my hair as well, and it smells really good. I have used this product many times before. I got this from Target as well for $8.99. I really like this product because to me it is lightweight, and for the price, it is worth it.
The last product that I used was the Shea Moisture Gel Souffle. I think this product is what really what helped my curls become defined and also helped me keep the curls overnight. This product has a gel consistency, it was really lightweight. There were times that I felt like I wasn't putting enough, but honestly you really just need a dime size and it gets the job done. I also got this product from Target for $10.49.
Next, I just want to walk you all through the routine I did while applying these products. So I first parted my hair into four sections, after they were parted, I applied the deep conditioner into the sections. Once the conditioner was in my hair I then did two strand twist in all four sections. Then, I placed a plastic bag over my hair to conserve the heat, and then put an old t-shirt over the plastic bag.
Once I rinsed it out the deep conditioner, I kept the fours sections and twist in my hair and began to wash my hair with the co-wash. Once it was clean I dried my hair with a cotton t-shirt. Then I started to apply the products in each section but took small amounts of hair.
I hope this helps! These products are 10/10 and I recommend them!
