I think we've all been there, life moves fast and all of a sudden it's the night before a party or an event and you don't have a costume!

So now you're stuck with either a lame costume or an expensive one you'll never wear again. Well, you're in luck because here are 10 super easy costumes you can put together fast for cheap.

Wednesday Addams

Instagram

All you need for this costume is a black dress, black shoes, dark makeup and two braids. Bonus points if you have a white collared shirt to layer under and black leggings/pantyhose with white socks layered on top.

Wizard from Harry Potter

Giphy

For this costume, you can dress as one of Harry's classmates super easily. If you have a white button-up, black or gray bottoms, and a stick you can turn into a wand you can do this. This best part of this costume is it allows for variation, you can wear a clothing item that matches your house color like red, yellow, blue, or green. You can DIY a tie out of felt. You can get some round glasses and use eyeliner for a lightning bolt scar and actually be Harry. It's super easy!

A Vampire

Super easy, all you need is dark-colored clothes and some fake blood. Want to dress it up a bit? Grab some fangs, a cape, a fake bat as your sidekick. That's it!

Raining Men

Pinterest

From The Weather Girls iconic 1980s song 'Raining Men' you can dress yourself up as if it were raining, grab an umbrella, and print out pictures of all your favorite men. Tape the pictures to a string and tape the string to the umbrella and you've got yourself an easy costume!

DECADES: 50s

Giphy

These next 5 are all-decade inspired and super easy. From the 50s, use 'Grease' as an example, you can go super preppy or super edgy. A white tee, denim jeans, black belt, converse and of course a leather jacket makes for a perfect Danny Zuko inspired look. Or if you're going for a pink lady inspired look, black jeans, black top, pink jacket and white sunglasses make for a perfect, easy look.

DECADES: 60s

Instagram

For the 60s think flower power, bright, and hippies. If that's not in your wardrobe, go thrifting! I'm sure you'll be able to find something along those lines.

DECADES: 70s

Instagram

The 70s are all about disco fever, so big hair and bell bottoms are calling your name. Platform shoes and fringe will amp this costume up. Again, if you don't necessarily have these items in your closet, the thrift store will be awesome for some cheap items.

DECADES: 80s

Piqsels

Keep your hair big and colors bright for this one. Neon colors are where it's at, and the more unnecessary material you have the better. Windbreakers, leg warmers, leggings with shorts, layering mesh tops. These are super easy to find for cheap, you got it!

DECADES: 90s

Warner Bros. TV

The 90s offers a variety of costumes. You can go super preppy like Cher Horowitz, take inspo from the many hip hop legends like Tupac or Lil Kim, or go grunge like Nirvana. For preppy, think sweater tucked into a skirt with a scrunchie and knee high socks. For the hip hop look, think baggy clothes, bright colors and matching pieces. For the grunge look, think band tee, flannel, and platform shoes.

DECADES: 00s

Youtube

When I think of the 00s, I think Baby Phat, bedazzled, and baby pink. A flip phone would be a great accessory if you could find that somewhere. And once you've out the most accessories you can in your hair, do more.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that.
