The Warm Up

Most of us have those times where we wanna go on a date but barely have any money. But a date doesn't have to be elaborate. It's being with the person you love and just doing the things y'all like. These are some affordable dates for you can do at home or in the outdoors.

11. Geocachce

"The recreational activity of hunting for and finding a hidden object by means of GPS coordinates posted on a website." Really the only cost is using gas, but you could even possibly walk to some.

10. A Picnic

Pack whatever you like to eat and a blanket, and go enjoy the nice weather. One time I also brought some stuff to color and that was one of my favorite memories.

9. Movie Night

Grab a red box movie and dollar tree candy (seriously, who doesn't like being able to get a box of candy for ONLY $1!) You don't have to go in a theater with a bunch of people, and sticky floors, and have to pay $8 just for the ticket.

8. Bake

It does get messy, but who cares since you'll have delicious food at the end. My favorites are Oreo truffles and strawberry cupcakes.

7. Star Gazing

Especially great with a truck, just lay in the truck bed with a pile of blankets.

6. Crafts

I've painted canvas' with my bf, so you could do that. There is also bracelet making, or whatever you feel like because crafting means being creative.

5. Find Rocks

There's this new thing in my town where people paint rocks and hide them so people can find them and relocate them. So give that a try, maybe even paint some and hide them yourself.

4. Game Night

I love a little competition, and this could be like a double date idea. It's just fun to watch how everyone gets while trying to win.

3. Go To The Park

Swinging is my favorite thing to do at the park and getting so high in the breeze is just awesome. Maybe see who can get the highest!

2. Hike

It's a great way to get exercise too but in a fun way!

1. Eat $1 Item Foods

Go though whatever fast food restaurant you like and maybe try something new.

Doing something fun doesn't have to be expensive. Plus you don't have to do the basic views of dating, it's what you and your significant other like!

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
