We're in college, we're broke, we can all afford nice dates. But, we still want to go on some, right? Why let cost determine the amount of dates or kinds of dates you go on? There are so many cheap or free date ideas that you can do that are just as nice as a dinner out! Here are 15 of my favorite.

1. Bonfire

You can sit by a fire, roast marshmallows, and cuddle up next to each other. A perfect night right?

2. Make a relationship questionnaire

Write down questions you have about each other and learn all about them! This one is more for the newer couple.

3. Go for a bike ride

Find a local park or trail that you can ride bikes on. Take this as a time to talk to each other away from distractions such as phones and internet. Great bonding time!

4. Feed the ducks

Bring some bread with you on your bike ride and feed the ducks after you're done! Plus, you have a snack if you get hungry.

5. Play Monopoly

Don't just play it, play it all the way through. Let's be honest, we've never actually finished a game before, so let's do it for once!

6. Try on clothes

Pick out a few outfits for each other at a store and try them on, no need to buy them though, unless you really love them!

7. Go to the flea market

Or the thrift store. You can find some pretty great things for pretty cheap which is always a good thing, right?

8. Learn to cook

In my case, neither of us are that great at cooking, so this would be a great thing for both of us to do! Learn together and share the experience with each other.

9. "Chopped" competition

After you both learn to cook, you can get your family members to judge your cooking and see who's best at it. Don't get too competitive though.

10. Volunteer

Make yourselves feel good by helping others. The humane society is a great place as well! Get some extra love from some sweet pups!

11. People-watching bingo

Make up your own bingo boards for this. Go out to a crowded place, maybe a mall, and see who can get bingo.

12. Stargaze

Look up at those stars, they're real pretty aren't they? How many constellations can you find though? No cheating either, don't download an app to help find them! Unplug yourselves.

13. Build a blanket fort

Make your own fort or house out of furniture and blankets then, the best part, take a nap!

14. Mini golf

This is a great one! You can never go wrong with mini golf. I mean, who doesn't love it? It's like golf, just mini!

15. Watch a sunset

You always see those in romantic movies, the dates where they see a sunset over the water's edge. Recreate that and maybe pack some snack or a dinner and have a romantic candlelight dinner outside.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
