Growing up in the beautiful state of Oregon has made me be a natural-born adventurer. I have explored much of this beautiful state including the coastline, the mountains, and the forest. But, the absolute best spots I've explored are waterfalls. Here are the most beautiful waterfalls I have seen thus far.
Proxy Falls
One of the first waterfalls I remember going to is Proxy Falls. This has become one of my favorite waterfalls to visit and I keep coming back.
These falls are absolutely beautiful because the water falls all around you. It's a short little 2-mile loop, perfect for a day adventure.
Multnomah Falls
Perhaps the most visited falls in Oregon, Multnomah Falls is home to the largest waterfall in the state. At 611-feet, these falls will bring you to awe when you realize how tiny you are.Silver Falls State Park
Silver Falls is a common place for tourists. It's called "The Trail of Ten Falls" because it has 10 different waterfalls you can view along the trip. Each waterfall is unique and gorgeous.
Sahalie Falls
These falls are directly off of Highway 126; a perfect place to stop and rest on a road trip.
Chush Falls
A short hike through the Three Sisters Wilderness will take you right up to this shooting waterfall.
The hike is spooky as you wander through fallen downs logs and a burnt forest. The quiet of the wilderness will help with all your nature therapy needs.
Toketee Falls
These falls are absolutely beautiful as the mysterious cave releases the falls into a giant pool of water.
Umpqua hot springs aer just a few miles up the road. Waterfalls and hot springs: Can you think of a better way to spend a day?
McKay Crossing Falls
Located relatively close to Bend, these falls are a beautiful way to spend a day trip on.
Sweet Creek Falls
Sweet Creek Falls is about an hour away from Eugene. It's an easy and quick hike to the base of the falls.
Latourell Falls
These falls seem to drop right out of the sky, located a few miles down the road from Multnomah Falls just outside of Portland.
Standing underneath so many magnificent waterfalls really makes one put things into perspective. That's the main reason I find waterfalls so fulfilling to visit; they make me sit down and question how big my problems really are.
Nothing beats Oregon waterfalls and if you have a day off, I recommend spending it underneath a giant mass of water and staring up at the beauty around you.
