Emmitsburg, Maryland is a very small town slightly north of Frederick. The town does not have much in it, but Mount St. Mary's University has students that bring some extra life into it. Here a few signs you know you are in Emmitsburg:

1. The most exciting place to be on a Friday night is Otts, a small restaurant located on the square of the town.

2. Jubilee is the closest equivalent to Walmart.... and they are not equivalent.

3. Subway in Emmitsburg is like Chipotle in Frederick.

4. The Dollar General is the Mount students second home.

5. All of the students who live off campus at the Mount are basically neighbors because the town is that small.

6. Going to Sheetz is at least a 15 minute drive because Emmitsburg is far away from everything.

7. When the Mount students have visitors come up, the only places they can offer to eat are Carriage House Inn and Pizza Hut.
