So I immersed myself into the lesbian world of the L word. I've only finished the first season and

I. CANNOT. STAND. IT.

But I also love it.

Let me explain. The L word is a complex TV show filled with lust, love, lying, cheating, etc. Just like any other television show. But it has a ton of lesbian stuff in it. That is what makes it a really great TV show, because what other TV show is made up 90% lesbian cast. So anyway, I have a ton of complaints about this amazing (but awful at the same time) work of art. So here are my complaints about each characters.

Don't judge me too much because I've watched the first season. I'm working on the rest.

1. Jenny

By far the worst character on this show. Jenny is an emotional mess. That is the only way to describe her. It's okay to be confused about your sexuality, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But cheating will always be wrong, JENNY. And after she cheated, she acted as if she was the victim. UGH!

2. Shane

Shane is my character so far in the show. She has a super sexy way about her. Her attitude is f**k them and leave them. But she fell in love... with the worst person ever. Never in my life did I think of Shane to act so reckless... especially for a rich, married MILF.

3. Bette

Bette was my favorite in the beginning. She was a career woman in a long-term, successful relationship with a woman that quit her job to devote herself to getting pregnant. Of course better messed up by cheating. The one character that was SOOO mad about Jenny cheating on her man. She lost me as a fan once she cheated.

4. Tina

The one that Bette cheated on. I actually have no complaints about her. Tina is perfect.

5. Dana

Dana is adorable, but naive. Which is what makes her character soooo annoying. Always complaining about not getting laid even though the love of her life (in my opinion), aka Alice, has been sitting in front of her since the beginning of the show. I also hate her because she moved in with a woman after knowing her for like 24 hours. Definition of lonely right there.

6. Alice

Alice is also perfect. I like them blondes.

7. Kit

The only straight character in this show... so far. I don't have much against Kit except for the fact that she completely led a woman on!!!! Dude, you know you're as straight as a ruler, why are you gonna lead someone on like that. The worst part is because she needed money. Shady. SO SHADY.

Please don't judge me on these analyses. I'm sure these characters have developed more throughout the show, but I just couldn't keep it bottled up inside of me.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
