1. Accepting that your current major isn't for you


You've put so many hours into this degree, and now you know deep down that this isn't what is going to make you happy in the long run.

2. Figuring out what your new major will be

Okay, now what? Time to rethink your collegiate life. Though most of the time your degree won't dictate your career choice, it's still a big step to make.

3. Talking to an advisor

Now you need to talk with an advisor, they'll help you get all your shenanigans in order and on the right path.

4. Telling Your Family

Though they love you and have supported you through your first degree choice, let's break the news to them that they'll just need to support you down another degree path.

5. Seeing all the classes you now need to take

Now they're telling you that the four math classes and that history class don't count towards your new degree??

6. Envisioning yourself in your new major

But when you look 20 years down the road, it holds happiness, more than you ever saw with your old degree and at the end of the day, this was the best decision you could have made.
