Tests, quizzes, readings, group projects, and presentations; it has begun. Have you already tried studying for your test the night before on your bed and fallen asleep half way through? Are you tired of dreading every aspect of the library, because it's only associated with cramming vocab terms surrounded by people that are just as stressed? If so check out some of these tips, they may make your homework a little less daunting.

1. Grab those headphones.

This is a tricky one because I know some people that need complete silence to get anything done, but for myself and the majority of people listening to soft calming music may lessen the tension your agenda is putting on you.

2. You don't have to study in the library.

If the library gets you down, try studying in a coffee shop or outside instead. Personally, I study better when I'm not surrounded by people who are also stressed about their schoolwork.

3. Chew gum.

Maybe this is just me but I feel that it helps me concentrate better.

4. Snacks and caffeine!

You can't get work done if your hungry and/or daydreaming about coffee.

5. Put your phone away and try to avoid Facebook, Twitter, etc.

You have so much time through out the day to look at your phone. Put it away for a bit and dedicate some time to getting your studies done.

6. Take breaks, give yourself a time frame.

No one likes doing school work for 4-8 hours at a time. I find if I do a little throughout the day, I get more done and don't become burnt out. Put aside a certain time during the day when you will do homework so you can plan better.

7. Flashcard apps will be your best friend.

Look into flashcard apps. The great thing about them is that you don't have to worry about loosing your flashcards and they're all in one place and most of these apps are free.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
