Let me just start off by saying that I have been waiting for this for a very long time and I am extremely happy.

Chance, the rapper? Sure technically he is considered a rapper, but he is really so much more. Between welcoming his daughter into the world, working on new music, hosting Open Mic night for Chicago high schoolers, and providing the homeless with jackets to help cope with Chicago’s extreme weather, Chance has done a lot in the past couple ofyears.

However the one thing he hasn’t done within these past couple of years? Release another solo project. It has been about three years since the Chi-town native blessed us with his drug-inspired solo project, Acid Rap. Coming off last year’s collaborative album with Donnie Trumpet and The Social Experiment, and the incredible verse he delivered on Kanye West's album, "The Life Of Pablo", Chance the Rapper has had a fairly busy year that has fueled every fan with an enormous amount of anticipation of what he’ll do next. And while we all appreciate his effort to supply us with new music from the Social Experiment via SoundCloud, we all really want another solo project. Well the wait is over ladies and gentlemen, he is back and better than ever with his third new mixtape, “Coloring Book", also known as Chance 3. He is back and ready to receive the appreciation he properly deserves.

Although “Coloring Book” is technically a mixtape, it is more well constructed than most albums today. Chance is on a whole other level on this project and the album art speaks to that exactly. Take a look at the album art. That is exactly how this project will make you feel. You will feel colorful and filled with joy all while having a smile on your face, just like Chance, as seen above. The project is a thoughtful insight on where he stands in life at the moment and he tells us how wonderful his life is now through clever raps, gospel singing, and vibrant trumpet playing. The mixtape features a diverse group of artists including Kanye West, Future, Justin Bieber, T-Pain, Jeremih, Young Thug, Jay Electronica, and others, as well as many uncredited artists. With the help from the many featured artists and his from his superstar team, The Social Experiment, he shares his colorful music that contagiously and immediately makes the listener feel happy and filled with good vibes. If I had to categorize this project I would do so in three words: Gospel-Rap perfection.

From 10 Day, to Acid Rap, to Coloring Book, Chance continues to evolve as a person through his music. And although he continues to grow, he reminds us that he is still the south-side Chicago native from 79th street. He continues to switch up the music industry and has proved that you do not need to be signed to a label to be successful in the music business. Not only does he have complete creative control of his music, he releases all of it for free.

I'm my opinion, Chance has just released the best and most anticipated album this year. But do not take my word for it, give it a listen. Better yet, go download it right now, after all, it's free. IGH! *Chance The Rapper's voice*

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

What is "talking?" How does one "talk?"

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
